We had a lesson on Matisse here at Aging With Grace the other day, and here are the works of art we generated in his style:

Matisse was in his nineties, wheelchair and later bed-bound, when he produced some of his most famous works. His hands, eyes and mind were not as nimble as they once were, and yet he was still able to bless this world with his talent. I think of him as an example to us all. We have many special projects (art, music, drama) planned for December at Aging With Grace, and we are hoping for new members to share them with. We are also hoping for volunteers to help with the mechanics of the projects. As a former art teacher, I know that you have to ‘break a few eggs’ to make an omelet. In other words, art is messy and labor intensive, but well worth the effort!

May you and yours have a blessed first week of December!
