Happy Mother’s Day, even if you aren’t a mother, a mother of some sort played an important role in your life when you were young, no doubt. Mothers are a glorious kind of caregiver, and I salute them!
The world needs more CARE givers. The world needs more people who CARE. I care. DO YOU? Or do you just do the minimum required of you, so you can devote your time and energy to what you like? Think of mothers. What if they did that? Some do, of course, and that is a problem in our current culture. Caring demands sacrifice. Caring demands giving your best, even if you don’t ‘feel’ like it.
Funny thing about caring, though. The more you care, the happier you become. The more you give, the more you feel good (I know the grammar is wrong here).
And then, when you are old and look back on your life, you are glad you cared.
May you and yours be blessed this week of National Nurses Week, National Etiquette Week, and National Nursing Home Week. Mark your calendars, because:
National Adult Day Services Week is September 18-24, 2016
This special week has been celebrated annually since it was proclaimed on September 27, 1983, by former President Ronald Reagan. The third complete week of September is set aside to raise awareness of the availability and accessibility of adult day programs nationwide.
