Wow. What a week this has been! Lots of tours of the clubhouse given this past week, and we hope we can help each person we met. Did you see the article in the Herald Leader about the 54 years old gentleman who was forced to go to a nursing home? Please check out the front page on  Friday, the August 21st edition. We contacted the people connected to the article in hopes of reaching him and offering our services. I am hoping he can move back into his house with his two dogs soon, and come here during the day to have his health care needs met.

Friday was my “baby’s” birthday. Jacob is twenty six years old now, and a very capable young man. He is helping us with our community outreach. I am so grateful he is willing to help us out because there just are not enough hours in the day for me to do all that needs to be done to run this business. We had a little party for him at the clubhouse on Friday afternoon. We plan to have birthday parties for each member on their birthday or as close as we can get to their birthday if they consent to having a party and promise to be here for it.

Today my father came to visit the club from Louisville. He has a pacemaker now, so no more dizzy spells. He finally had the neck brace removed after having to wear it for six weeks after he broke his neck due to a dizzy spell. The dizzy spells were a result of a drop in his heart rate. Now that he has the pacemaker, he is a new man! My father, Kristy (our LPN Club Planner), Jacob and I  ate together, exercised together, and played Scrabble. I won’t say who won. It was very fun.

Tomorrow is my not-yet-born grandson’s baby shower in Berea. Still have much to do tomorrow for the business, so with church and the shower, it is going to be a busy day! My new grandson’s father, Eli, has proved to be indispensable and a valuable asset to the business . He is my assistant and the dining director. His technology skills and his chef skills are super sharp and he has been dependable and accountable like a good employee should be. I would speak just as highly of him if he were not my son. I am so grateful that God is blessing us.

May God bless you and yours in this coming week!
